FOR THOSE RISING STARS
Following the huge success of York Stage School which launched five years ago, together with the clear demand for us to offer classes to children under the age of 4 we also offer our Yorkie Puds classes for all children from newborn to 3 years.
Led by York Stage School tutor, Danielle, together with Sam, our Yorkie Puds classes will immerse our youngest stars in a world of positive creativity that will help them develop the skills they need to truly rise.
MEET DANIELLE
Having performed and entertained children in York for over a decade as part of Berwick Kaler's panto family at York Theatre Royal, Danielle eventually settled down with her husband a few years ago in the city as they began to plan for their own children. Since then Danielle has been a much loved tutor at York Stage School. With her boundless positivity and joy, coupled with an passion for children's development, she really does know how to engage children of all ages.
Danielle gave birth to her beautiful daughter in the Summer of 2021. Being a new Mum, in a city where she had no close friends with babies, she soon realised she wanted to work with York Stage School to create a new range of classes that give parents a place where they do not feel isolated. It is Danielle's hope that the classes will not only allow parents and guardians to work with their children on sensory skills, that will develop over their journey onto more performance led activities, but also give them a space where they can get to know each other and feel part of a community.
WHAT OUR PARENTS SAY
My daughter absolutely loves Yorkie Puds, it is her favourite hour of the week. The classes are really good fun for both babies and adults with lots of singing and dancing and opportunity for little ones to get involved with lots of sensory play. The staff who organise the sessions are excellent, the booking process is easy and efficient and the venue is fab. Danielle who runs the classes is just brilliant, she makes everyone feel welcome and makes the sessions lots of fun every week. She is very creative, mixing up the themes for the class regularly so you never get bored, and it's lovely to have some time to chat to mums at the end of the class with a cuppa and lots of laughs!!
ABOUT OUR CLASSES
BABY CLASS
£7.50 per class
Payable termly
Tuesdays 11.15am until 12.00pm
Within this 45 minute class we will explore the world of music, sensory play, rhythm and movement to help develop important skills. This class will fully integrate parents and guardians into the activities so they can join in and experience their child's journey first hand. This class also includes time for parents and guardians to come together to chat and meet new people over a brew.
TODDLER CLASS
£7.50 per class
Payable termly
Tuesdays 1.00pm until 2.00pm, Fridays 10am until 11.00am, Fridays 11.30am until 12.30pm
Within this 60 minute class we will have our little Yorkie Puds up on their feet where they will begin to be introduced to song and dance. Exploring nursery rhymes through physical movement allowing your little ones to gain confidence through performance. Parents and guardians, whilst not being part of the activities physically, are asked to stay and watch. This class also includes time for parents and guardians to come together to chat and meet new people over a brew.
